Privacy policy

StayMethodic is run by [Your business name] ("we"). This page explains, in plain words, what we keep about you and why.
What we keep
- Your email address, so you can sign in and so we can send your key and sign-in codes.
- What you put in your planner: tasks, events, meals, lists, money entries, family details, work rosters, two-home schedules, medicine and doses you log, and so on. Only people in your household, and anyone you send a view-only link to, can see it.
- Medicine and health notes are only what you type in. They are kept with the rest of your planner and are never used for anything else. Please only add what your household needs.
- Outside calendar links: if you add a school, club or work calendar link, our server reads that link every few hours to show its events to your household.
- View-only links: if you make one, anyone with the link can see your schedule, meals and jobs (and family info and medicine, if you choose). They never show money, home admin or private items. You can remove a link at any time and it stops working.
- Your devices: a name such as "iPhone (Safari)" and when it was last used, so you can manage your 4 devices.
- Reminder settings: if you turn on reminders, your device gives us an address to send notifications to, plus your time zone.
- Purchase details: Stripe handles payment. We receive your email and whether the payment went through. We never see your card number.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
- There are no ads and no third-party tracking inside the planner app. Nothing you put in your planner, including medicine and family details, is ever shared with advertisers.
- We do not read your planner unless you ask us to help with a problem and give us permission.
Who helps us run the service
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores the planner data.
- Stripe handles payments.
- Resend sends our emails (your key and sign-in codes).
- Meta measures our adverts on the public website, as described below. It never receives anything from inside your planner.
- Apple, Google, Mozilla or Microsoft deliver phone reminders, if you turn them on. The reminder text is encrypted on the way.
Our website and advertising
Our public website (the pages about StayMethodic, not the planner app) uses the Meta Pixel. It tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) when someone visits the site, opens the sample planner or starts and finishes a purchase, so we can see which of our ads work. When you buy, our server also sends Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address and country with the purchase, so it can be matched to the ad you saw. Meta's use of this information is covered by Meta's privacy policy. You can control ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account, and use your browser's settings to block these cookies.
Children
The planner is used by parents and carers. Children are added as names by an adult and do not have their own accounts. Please only add what you need, and never store ID or passport numbers.
Cookies
Inside the planner app we use one cookie to keep you signed in, and no advertising or tracking cookies. Our public website uses Meta's advertising cookies (such as _fbp) as described above.
Your choices
- Download all your information any time from Settings in the planner.
- Delete: email us and we will delete your household's information.
- Calendar link: anyone with your private calendar link can see those events. You can make a new link in Settings at any time.
